Re: Working on an Electric Sway Bar Bypass

I had the opportunity to look at a 2019 and test fit the prototype:

2019.1.JPG
2019 Stock SmartBar module.
2019.2.JPG
My main concern was if there would be clearance issues with the crossmember and fan shroud.
2019.3.JPG
The adapter plate fits with room to spare.
2019.4.JPG
Clears the crossmember.
2019.5.JPG
Clears the fan shroud.
2019.6.jpg
The only thing that's close is the plastic oil filter drain tray, but I don't think that will be a problem.
2019.7.JPG
Fan shroud clearance with SmartBar module installed.
2019.8.JPG
Crossmember clearance with SmartBar module installed.

Conclusion... Yes this will work on all generations of Power Wagon

Hi-
Anyone install Powersteps on their PW? Do you like them? Do they fold up out of the way enough for off-roading?
My answer to all of your questions is yes.

A couple of you have private messaged me to inform me that this thread is locked (possibly all my vendor threads).
I don't know what's going on with it, the settings all look fine on my end. I've contacted the administrator to ask for help.
Thank you for your patience! :patriot:

Working on an Electric Sway Bar Bypass

As some of you know, I've been working on a way to control the sway bar disconnect to liberate it from the nannies that constrain it and give the driver full control to make it work when they want, rather than when the truck allows. It's nice that Ram permits it to work in 4Hi and 4Lo, but what abou...

Based on pic 11, don’t plan on it driving home.
Not sure what you mean, but if you’re talking about the offset radiator, that’s normal.

Re: 2016 power wagon axels unlocked but front/rear flashing??

A professional grade scan tool would be able to pull codes out of the Final Drive Control Module and get you pointed in the right direction. Most good repair shops will scan for codes free of charge and then charge for diagnostic time if you want to pursue a solution. You can also check your 50 pin ...

Re: 2018 vs 2019 First impressions

So just got back from the dealer and bought me a new power wagon. Any recommendations on nerf bars or side steps? Which look the best on these trucks? If I didn't already have Bestop PowerBoards on my truck, I would go with White Knuckle sliders. The PowerBoards are much better for the wife and kid...

Yes, that's a sure sign that it's time to make an adjustment. The procedure is simple and outlined on page #6 of the installation instruction. If you need me to send you another copy of the instructions, just say the word.

Re: Oil filter question (different part #)

I believe that anytime Mopar makes an improvement to a part (gasket material, check valve, filter media) the superseded part changes by one letter, but the main part number stays the same. Unless there's a major revision which would result in a completely new part number. Also notice the three year ...

Will this bypass work on a 2019?
No, the 19's don't need it. Ram finally allowed locker function in all transfer case ranges starting this year. I haven't heard a single complaint yet regarding locker engagement on the new trucks.

Sorry for the short notice, but these end on Saturday August 17 in the afternoon. The first one is a 2014 in Phoenix, AZ. with 99K miles. The second one is a 2015 in Spokane, WA. with a Rambox, Ranch Hand style front bumper and dual alternators with 73K miles. As of this posting, both are currently ...

Re: How I Fixed My Code P0456

No codes, but now, even the slow flowing gas station pumps are shutting off every 30 seconds, as I try to fill the gas tank. -> Any tips for how to remove the filter, so I can blow air out the vent tube? It's just held on by one or two 10mm hex fasteners, very simple to remove and blow out. Be prep...

Transfer Case Position Sensor

So I've had a flickering 4X4 indicator light on my instrument cluster for a few months, so I knew that my transfer case position sensor (TCPS) was on it's way out. It was on solid for a while and then went out all together and shifting the lever had no effect on it. For the last month I've noticed a...

Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

Standalone, electric sway bar disconnect with the flip of a switch. Currently testing the prototype on my truck. It will work on any SmartBar, PW or Jeep. Does not use the factory switch, OEM module will have to be secured to the frame, crossmember or engine compartment to retain locker function an...
