Re: Abel Components Locker Bypass® $450

I can’t speak to how well/reliably they work compared to prior generations since this is my first PW. They do seem to lock quickly if they are going to lock, but some times I’ve found I have to move it a bit for it to want to lock. But yes it is nice I can lock the rear in 2wd or 4WD high. I’m assu...

Re: Abel Components Locker Bypass® $450

A lot has changed with the 2019, the lockers are now wired into the controller area network (CAN-Bus) data stream, so the only way to manipulate them now is to modify the software or hardwire them with separate switches. The good news is that the locker bypass isn't really as necessary on the 2019s ...

Re: Abel Components Nanny Kill Switch® - $75

I updated the pictures in the first post. I was able to get my hands on a complete fusebox so I could fine tune all the wire lengths to make it fit right where I want it. Also, the generic toggle switch is a little less generic, I'm now including an aircraft style toggle switch safety cover as well...

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

I thought I would bring this topic back to life to talk about the other trucks not currently covered by the 2013-18 Nanny Kill Switch. A half dozen 2011-12 owners are waiting for something that will fit their trucks and the same thing is happening with the 2019-20 trucks. I think I know the directio...

Check with DamagedWagon. He might have a few. He was making them.
His only fits 2014-2018.

If someone would make one for a 3rd Gen, I would buy it. :cash:

Re: Abel Components Nanny Kill Switch® - $75

Would love this for my '18 PW. Email Sent! I think the postal sled dogs lost yours somewhere along the Iditarod Trail. Received my kit in 2 days Cali to Indiana. Very fast an the kit is very well done. Everything went easy and works just as described. Can't wait for the first chance to use it...

Question for "BLM": Do the later models (2010 up) use this connector?
Nope, they use a 10 pin with the frustrating little red CPA (connector position assurance) lock. It’s a little easier to get to on the radiator core support frame but requires two steps to release it.

Re: 2005 bypass cable instalation help needed

It takes a lot of hand strength to release the lock tab. Look at the connector on the bypass harness for reference, then use a pair of pliers to pinch the release tab and pull out at the same time. I thought I was going to break it the first time I did it. The release tab is on the opposite side of ...

3rd Gen Locker Bypass Instructions

Installation instructions can get lost or misplaced, so I thought it would be good to post them here so everyone can access them. The only problem is that it's a PDF file and this forum doesn't support the PDF format, so I've converted each page to its own JPEG image to make this work. They do get a...

I bought my locker bypass in July but never installed it. I know I read some instructions but I can't remember if it was online or if they came with it?

Re: Working on an Electric Sway Bar Bypass

There are 10 wires going in and out of that connector on my truck. What does that mean regarding the bypass possibilities? Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk It means that your truck has the newer CAN-BUS system that won't allow the use of the factory dash switches to control the sway bar bypas...

Re: Working on an Electric Sway Bar Bypass

A short update on this project: I thought I was going to be able to control the new Sway Bar Bypass with the factory switches, however, beta testing has revealed an issue with the 2013-18 trucks. The CAN-BUS circuitry was changed in 2013 and inhibits me from using the OEM dash buttons. Fortunately ...

Welcome to the forum! Whenever you get around to ordering the locker bypass, be sure to remind me that you need a little extra length on your axle harnesses to accommodate your lift kit.

Re: FS: Abel Components Locker Bypass® - Calif. - $450

For those of you that already have a Morgan, Shelby or Abel Locker Bypass: There's a retrofit upgrade coming that will give you the ability to control your sway bar at will also. Is this an upgrade to the one you created? Is there a writeup on it? I haven't actually installed mine yet... so if I co...
