Re: Regular cab shortbed Power Wagon? It's almost possible.

From reading elsewhere...
Above a certain GVW, there is a max RPM and maybe Noise Level where engine can be rated at. So the Horsepower has to be listed lower than actual max and the tune/power curve are the same either way

Re: Superchips flash cal

I emailed SDHQ asking if they can verify that this will work for the newer 2500 6.4 Hemi trucks. Hopefully they can get better info from superchips. I'll post up as soon as I get an answer back. From my days at Nissan Tech-Line and fighting through a few "Lightning Strike" cars. This Can-Bus System is probably similar. 2-wire communication circuit between all Modules in a group plus the Data Link Connector under the dash. 1 of the Modules is the Primary (most likely ECU) and another is the ...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Ran into some not-typical August weather going over Engineer Pass near Ouray, CO today. Cool pics! How does a big, honkin Power Wagon do over Engineer Pass? Not bad at all. Have to pick the right lines on some of the ledges early on. I think I only had to backup on 3 switchbacks all the way up. Sta...

Nice! The output of the Sports is impressive for sure. I've got a buddy working on my switch plate idea currently. Giving up 1 of the cup holders in the floor console for a plate to mount my Ham Radio faceplate and 4 Carling rockers. He will be 3D Printing some test pieces this week. Planning on mac...

Led a group of friends on the Turkey Creek Trail near Bumble Bee, AZ The Jeep JKU on 37s had the fuel pump go out near the end of the trail. Re: Baja Designs Squadron Sport vs. Rigid Duelly / D2

Mine would not reliably run 1 pair without any fooler inline. It came on with KOEO, but once the engine was running and Alternator charging, it shut off. What did you wire up? A resistor as Reloaderguy explained above? How do you like the Squadrons? I've got the Diode Dynamics Canbus Anti-Flicker M...

Re: Tire? 35's v 37's & Nitto v Toyo

How do they go about clearancing for turning? Or are they not made to turn while stuffing the suspension? Because I know with my 2" level which would put me right around that same height, maybe an inch less, that there is no way I'm clearing 37s while stuffed and turned without doing bodywork on th...

There is the link to the CanBus Anti-Flicker module. Needed if using factory fog light wiring with LEDs. As I mentioned, can't handle the 80 watts of power drawn with 2 pairs of Squadron Sports are on. But does great with 1 pair.

I've had Rigids Duallys before and really liked the DOT Fogs. But I went BD Squadron Sports this time. 1 pair of spots and 1 pair of wide driving. I love the output and pattern. I've got the Baja Designs Fog Light Brackets with 2 pairs of Squadron Sports (1 pair of Spots and 1 pair of Wide Cornering). I'm pleased with the light output, just the spots with stock headlights kept me comfortable at high speeds heading to Moab. The Squadron Pros have more than double the output ...

Re: Tire? 35's v 37's & Nitto v Toyo

I think the 37s really look just right (maybe a hair big with stock springs). Glad I didn't do 35s. 40s would be crazy!

Well, except that my Rock Crawler is also on 37s. Kinda funny that all my tires are the same size currently. But I don't want to go bigger with stickies on Yota axles.

Re: Tire? 35's v 37's & Nitto v Toyo

All stock suspension. It just barely touches the plastic at the rear of the wheel wells when turned mid way and bumps (pulling into driveway). And certainly limits steering angle with the getting into the swaybar/control arms.
